Finished Wall Murals - Finally!

Been meaning to get these photographs up for a while now to show the final result of the Mural designs in the Holiday Inn Theatreland, Glasgow.

If i had the chance to develop them, it would be great to expand them further to fill the walls, or at least a little further than they do at the moment.

Environmental design is definitely sparking an interest in me though!

Excuse the quality of photograph (though could be worse) they were taking on Kit Mead's HTC.

He did the painting by the way :)

Bauhaus Poster Designs for Barbican

Over this past week i have been working on a collection of poster designs for the Barbican competition released on IdeasTap.
They are designs for print to be sold as accompanying merchandise to the 2012 Bauhaus exhibition at the Barbican from May - August.

Fingers crossed the competition is successful!

Here are some photos of the development of a typographic wall mural i have designed for the Holiday Inn Glasgow.
The designs are featured in the staff canteen, and are made up of inspiring messages along with motivational objectives for the staff.

Not quite finished yet but a good way into the project now.

They are being hand painted onto the wall so attention must be paid!

In what has been described as "space phenomenon imitates art", variable star V838 Monocerotis is surrounded by walls of swirling interstellar dust. The Hubble image has been compared to "Starry Night", the painting by Dutch post-impressionist Vincent van Gogh. A variable star changes in brightness over time. V838 is 20,000 light years away.

Here is the result of my packaging brief to re-design a Grow Your Own sub brand of Homebase. Taking the inspiration from fast food packaging, i made it look and feel like takeaway food, emphasising on the "fast" and "easy" aspect of it.

I was quite pleased with the outcome, despite all the fretting :) And now its on the way to enter it for the D&AD!

This is a piece of artwork i did for a relative of mine. It is based upon pattern in her wallpaper and uses a collage effect. Collage is very interesting to me as i like textures and layers and mixed media. I quite like how it turned out...and at least my relative was pleased :)
